Matt Hobbs, CEO
Matt has 25 years experience across all aspects of the hospitality sector.
He brings with him a wealth of experience in market leading brands that remain profitable for decades. These have included The Groucho Club, The Ivy, Soho House, Scott's Restaurant, Le Caprice & The Birley Group.
Matt has worked internationally in multiple continents and is proud to say that there is not a business which he has been involved in that is not trading successfully today.

JONNO FORBES
Chief Operating Officer
Jonno BSc leads the delivery from full-service consultancy through to management across existing, and up and coming private members clubs, hotels and restaurants. Previously, he served as Operations Director at Artfarm, managing an international collection of award-winning hotels and restaurants. He spearheaded the relaunch of Da Costa and Roth Bar in Somerset, Cantina in Menorca, and Chesa Marchetta in Switzerland and The Fife Arms.
Earlier in his career, Jonno was Director of Business Development at Caprice Holdings, driving growth across its portfolio of iconic London restaurants. He also spent over a decade with The Fat Duck Group, where he was part of the opening team for Dinner by Heston Blumenthal at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, and played a key role in launching its Melbourne counterpart, at Crown Casino.

FIA FREEMAN
Chief Commercial Officer
Overseeing Copper Beech’s global project portfolio, Fia is responsible for translating ambitious ideas into successful, fully realised environments. Guiding projects seamlessly from early concept through to opening and refinement. At Copper Beech Fia has helped deliver some of the world’s most exclusive members clubs and hospitality destinations.
Fia began her career at Caprice Holdings, where she played a key role in the high-profile openings of Sexy Fish (Miami), Scotts (Richmond), Bacchanalia, and Scotts (Saudi Arabia). Her deep operational grounding, international perspective & meticulous attention to detail underpin Copper Beech’s reputation for delivering world class projects with precision, creativity & integrity.

ZACHARY ELFMAN
Finance Director
After earning his master’s at the London School of Economics, Zachary began his career as an analyst for a private equity fund before transitioning to a global value hedge fund. He is an expert in financial modeling, fundamental analysis, and valuation.
Zachary has successfully led business sales, advised on early-stage funding rounds, and served as interim CFO for various startups.
Known for his financial acumen and strategic insights, Zachary plays a key role in driving growth and value creation across a range of industries.

ALEX HADDOCK
Director of Projects & Operations, Vietnam
Alex leads projects and operations at 1010, Vietnam's first social clubs, overseeing every aspect of the build from concept through to launch and day-to-day management. He brings over 15 years' experience to the role, most recently as a senior operator with Noble Inns and The Public House Group, where he ran multi-site portfolios spanning some of London's most respected pub and restaurant brands.
Earlier in his career, Alex managed several notable London gastropubs, including The Sands End, The Cow, and Six Portland Road. He built a reputation for operational efficiency, commercial discipline, and a solution-driven approach, experience he now brings to Vietnam’s fast-growing hospitality market.

Membership Director
Isabella is a membership strategist with over a decade of experience shaping communities in London. As former Membership Director at The Groucho Club, she was rooted in shaping member experience, nurturing brand loyalty, and evolving access models to meet the changing landscape of private clubs.
Known for her sharp cultural instincts and people-first approach, Isabella blends data insight with genuine connection to drive growth and engagement.

Design Director
Giulia is an architect and interior designer with a refined approach to luxury hospitality design. Her international portfolio spans acclaimed restaurants and lifestyle destinations across London, Ibiza, and Doha, where she has collaborated with some of the industry’s most respected operators and brands.
With an instinctive eye for elegance and precision, Giulia balances aesthetic sophistication with the seamless functionality that defines world-class venues. At Copper Beech, she leads the design team, shaping spaces that embody each client’s identity with depth, distinction, and enduring style.

MELISSA FARQUHAR
Head of Brand
With a background in PR and Communications, Melissa has brought her expertise into the wider creative department, overseeing all brand workstreams - from narrative and identity to art, uniforms, scent, digital, and membership experience - ensuring creative excellence is matched by operational precision. She manages complex, multi‑agency partnerships and aligns stakeholders around clear, cohesive creative intent. Melissa also works closely with the membership department, ensuring that all creative development is shaped through the lens of the member experience.

ANTHONY POWER
Operations Manager
Anthony is a strategic hospitality leader with experience spanning culinary innovation, operational leadership and brand development across international markets.
Originally trained as a chef, he went on to create and launch award-winning food and event concepts, including the Michelin-awarded Pilgrim Restaurant and the winner of Netflix’s Million Pound Menu. He later moved into senior leadership roles managing prominent venues in London and Melbourne.
Anthony now helps clients translate vision into high-performing, experience-led hospitality concepts.

LEXY BURDGE
Executive Assistant to CEO
Lexy began her career as an Executive Assistant at a luxury travel company. During her time there, she managed UHNW clients, working closely with some of the world’s leading hotels to deliver seamless, bespoke travel experiences and exceptional five-star service. She was responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring every detail was handled with professionalism, efficiency, discretion and meticulous attention to detail.
Lexy’s organisational skills, client-focused approach and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to Matt and the team.

LYDIA STONEHILL
Membership Manager
Lydia has experience across luxury hospitality and private members’ clubs in London and New York. She worked across membership for Birley Holdings at 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s. She later relocated to New York City as part of the founding team for Maxime’s, playing a key role in establishing the club’s founding membership before transitioning into the lead project management role across Maxime’s and Birley Bakery.
Lydia brings a strong focus on member experience, commercial awareness, and operational delivery, and is known for her organised and detail-driven approach.

Project Manager
Serena is a highly organised project manager and events professional with a strong background across hospitality, entertainment and live events.
Having held roles spanning talent agency, artist relations and private events management, Serena brings a sharp eye for detail, and hands-on experience coordinating talent, managing complex logistics and acting as a key liaison between teams across the UK, Europe and the US.

Project Manager
Catherine is a versatile project manager and events professional with over nine years of experience delivering premium corporate experiences, high-impact brand activations and full-funnel marketing campaigns across FMCG and digital retail.
With a deep-rooted passion for hospitality, she brings a seamless, detail-oriented approach to complex logistics and stakeholder management, ensuring every project is delivered with clarity, precision and excellence.

ANNABEL FENTON
Operations Coordinator
Annabel transitioned into operations from a hospitality background rooted in reimagining rural hospitality, with a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of high-performing hospitality destinations, both live and in the pre-opening phase. This foundation provided valuable insight into operational excellence and the practical realities of launching and operating successful venues.
At Copper Beech, she works across live and pre-opening projects, supporting operational delivery and collaboration between creative, membership, finance and systems teams. Detail-driven and highly organised, she helps coordinate project workstreams, maintain stakeholder alignment and ensure operational delivery remains true to each project's concept and strategic intent.

Creative Coordinator
Phoebe brings a strong creative and communications background, having previously worked at a leading interior design studio and a communications agency, and holds a degree in Graphic Design.

SCARLETT HOBBS
Project Administrator, Vietnam
Scarlet is a hospitality professional with experience across private members' clubs and thoughtful guest services.
Her background includes operations roles at Soho House, Pragnell, and The Sloane Club. She was part of the taskforce team for the opening of Soho Farmhouse Ibiza and assisted with operations and guest experience at Soho House Festival in London, supporting large-scale gatherings and guest touchpoints in carefully curated environments.
Known for her proactive, detail-oriented approach, Scarlet brings energy and adaptability to project coordination. Description goes here

TOM PARKER-BOWLES
Food & Restaurant Director
Tom Parker Bowles is an award winning restaurant critic, food writer and broadcaster. He is The Mail on Sunday’s Restaurant Critic and writes a monthly food column for Country Life.
He is also a Contributing Editor for Esquire and Condé Nast Traveller. He appears regularly as a judge on BBC’s Masterchef, among many other tv shows and is the author of nine books. His latest, Cooking and The Crown, was released in 2024.
